About Monticello
Monticello, Missouri was founded in 1833 and is near Hannibal, Missouri, and Quincy, Illinois. The population is 104 as of 2020 and is the county seat of Lewis County, making it the smallest county seat in Missouri. The village has one of the few remaining courthouses in Missouri dating from the 1870's.

Monticello Community Park


Our beautiful park is equipped with a walking track, sand volleyball court, basketball court, playground, and swings. The park is located on Washington Street in Monticello.
If you're interested in starting a volleyball or softball team/tournaments, participating in an annual yard sale, Monticello Appreciation Day, or getting involved in other fundraising events, contact
Cindy Grgurich at 660-341-9732.​ You can also text or call Cindy to reserve the park for an event or birthday party
for $50.

Opens at dawn, closes at dusk

Park Rules​
-Please clean up after yourself
-Take all trash to the dumpster, which is West of the restrooms.
-Close doors to the bathroom, but leave unlocked
-Make sure water and electric are turned off
-Please leave the park better than you found it!
